RETRO MOVIE REVIEW: Escape From New York

With all the talk going on about a remake of John Carpenter’s ‘Escape From New York’ in the works I thought I would go back an rewatch the 1981 original and see how it holds up, since I know most people have a disdain for remakes of movies they have a fondness for.  Regardless if the movie may not be that great to begin with.   So what are my thought of the old version and is a remake warranted or even needed?  Read on for my expert opinion that everyone should obviously listen to and obey. SONY SETS A RELEASE DATE FOR RESIDENT EVIL 6

Via: Kevin Woods of Arrow in The Head

It’s the franchise that just won’t die!

Sony/Screen Gems has set a debut date for the next chapter in the long-running RESIDENT EVILfranchise, scheduling the as-yet-untitled film to hit theaters September 12, 2014. No word yet on whether series director Paul W.S. Anderson would be returning to helm or series star (and ultra-hottie) Milla Jovovich would be back to kick more ass, but I’m sure it is reasonably safe to assume that they will.

Further, no details on the plot have been released. We last saw Alice (Jovovich) in RESIDENT EVIL: RETRIBUTION holed up at the White House and facing a rather large threat with Wesker (Shawn Roberts) by her side, so I’m sure this latest sequel will pick up right where that one left off.

The RESIDENT EVIL series has been a bumpy ride so far, filled with many ups-and-downs, and many feel it’s time to retire the franchise. The first film was a groovy good time, followed by the lacklusterRESIDENT EVIL: APOCALYPSE, picking back up steam with RESIDENT EVIL: EXTINCTION andAFTERLIFE, but seriously dropping the ball with RETRIBUTION, which many consider to be the nadir of the series. Hopefully Sony/Screen Gems can give the franchise a fitting swan song with this next installment.

Milla Jovovich makes me happy in my pantal area.

Some Composite photos I have done.

I like to do composite/theme style photos when able.  I really like the fantasy and horror genre so if i get opportunities to do these shots i like to do so.  Even though I’m not an expert at them.

Wasteland 2 Early Gameplay footage now released for viewing

I know this isn’t a board game but still I like to play video games on occassion too and I feel this warrants a mention on the site.

For all the old school PC gamers out there you probably already know that Wasteland 2 via Kickstarter has been in production for sometime now.  InExile has just released some game play footage that showcases some early combat and mechanics and also some artwork and voice acting that really helps set the tone for the game.

I have to admit.  This looks really, really promising.  If you are a fan of turn based isometric type games with an updated feel check out the video and leave a comment on what you think about it.
