New Trailer for James Wan’s ‘The Conjuring’ now Available for Viewing.

Warner Brothers have released a new trailer for their upcoming horror flick, ‘The Conjuring’.  Based on the paranormal investigation of Ed and Lorraine Warren, most well known for their Amityville Horror investigation and the fame from that.  James Wan director of ‘Insidious’ and ‘Sinister’ helms ‘The Conjuring’ and it looks to be a genuine creepy tale.  Also, the fact the movie got rated an R for just being too scary and not blood and guts could say a lot about the horror of the film.

You can view the new trailer below:

New Footage from Stephen King’s ‘Under the Dome’

CBS has just launched a one-minute “First Look” clip for Under the Dome, the upcoming thirteen-week series based on Stephen King’s mammoth bestseller. King himself appears in behind-the-scenes footage from the production, which is set in the fictional town of Chester’s Mill, whose 2000 residents are sealed within an impenetrable barrier, fighting to discover a way out while the community quickly begins to collapse into chaos. The clip below provides the first solid glimpse of footage from the series (following a mysterious teaser that aired during this year’s Super Bowl).
King serves as an executive producer on Under the Dome, which is directed by Niels Arden Oplev

NEW POSTER FOR JAMES WAN’S THE CONJURING DELIVERS SOME BAD NOOSE

VIA: Arrow in the Head

Okay, sorry for the bad pun in the headline. But the fact is, a noose figures prominently in the new poster (courtesy of the film’s Facebook page) for James Wan’s THE CONJURING. Notice the eerie shadow on the ground near the tree. You’ve got to like the atmospheric simplicity in this one-sheet (even if it does elicit thoughts of SINISTER‘s effective tree-hanging visual); I’m guessing the next piece of art we see from the movie won’t be as subtle.

Before there was Amityville, there was Harrisville. Based on a true story, “The Conjuring” tells the horrifying tale of how world-renowned paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren were called upon to help a family terrorized by a dark presence in a secluded farmhouse. Forced to confront a powerful demonic entity, the Warrens find themselves caught in the most terrifying case of their lives.

THE CONJURING stars Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson, Ron Livingston and Lili Taylor; it opens on JULY 19th in the US and UK.

RETRO MOVIE REVIEW: Escape From New York

With all the talk going on about a remake of John Carpenter’s ‘Escape From New York’ in the works I thought I would go back an rewatch the 1981 original and see how it holds up, since I know most people have a disdain for remakes of movies they have a fondness for.  Regardless if the movie may not be that great to begin with.   So what are my thought of the old version and is a remake warranted or even needed?  Read on for my expert opinion that everyone should obviously listen to and obey. ROB ZOMBIE’s ‘The Lords Of Salem’ Film: New Clip Posted Online

An exclusive clip from Rob Zombie‘s upcoming film, “The Lords Of Salem”, can be seen at USAToday.com.

Zombie recently revealed the track list for the soundtrack of “The Lords Of Salem” and it contains classic songs from THE VELVET UNDERGROUND, MANFRED MANN, Rick James and RUSH in addition to an original score by Zombie‘s guitarist John 5. Zombie told The Pulse Of Radio how he approached compiling the soundtrack. “I mean, I always like to find songs that can represent the film, so there’s at least one song in every movie that when you hear it, it brings back the imagery of the film,” he said. “In this movie, it was a VELVET UNDERGROUND song. I always want to try to find that piece of music early on, even in the writing process. For ‘Devil’s Rejects’, it was ‘Freebird’, strangely enough, and for the last movie it was ‘Nights In White Satin’. Sometimes you just hear a song and you go, ‘This song sounds like how I want the movie to feel.'”

The soundtrack includes MANFRED MANN‘s version of “Blinded By The Light”, Rick James“Give It To Me Baby”, RUSH‘s “The Spirit Of Radio” and THE VELVET UNDERGROUND‘s “Venus In Furs” and “All Tomorrow’s Parties”.

“The Lords Of Salem” soundtrack arrives on April 16, a few days before the movie opens in limited release on April 19.

Zombie‘s own new album, “Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor”, is due out on April 23 and contains songs such as first single “Dead City Radio And The New Gods Of Super Town”, “Lucifer Rising”, “The Girl Who Loved The Monsters” and “Behold! The Pretty Filthy Creatures”, along with a cover of the GRAND FUNK RAILROAD hit “We’re An American Band”.

Zombie will also receive an honorary award at the upcoming Revolver Golden Gods Awards, which will take place in Los Angeles on May 2.
