The floor moves, little ones pass overhead and anyone falling is in danger of being trampled: riotous SLAYER pit, or Black Friday shopping frenzy? Few family holiday gatherings can compete with a Jagger amped Kerry King (guitar) and the sinister, serial killer inspired stare of frontman/bassist Tom Araya, the lone remaining original members of SLAYER. Any tryptophan hangover, or midnight shopping spree malaise was quickly blown away, as the thrash legends dominated the Susquehanna Bank amphitheater, enclosed for the winter months. SLAYER-Inspired Curry Restaurant Opens In Japan

A SLAYER-inspired curry restaurant named Calayer had its grand opening on June 3 in Osaka, Japan.The spot, whose name ia combination of the words “Slayer” and “Curry” is currently open for lunch (11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.) and serves Indian and Pakistani food Monday through Saturday.

Kerry King Pays Tribute To Jeff Hanneman On “International SLAYER Day”

I love that a few years ago a few fans decided to mark June 6, 2006 as International Slayer Day (6/6/6 duh!) and ever since then it’s become an annual holiday to celebrate one of the most influential bands of all time.

This year seems extra special with the recent loss of founding guitarist Jeff Hanneman. To mark the occasion, Kerry King posted a touching new video tribute to his friend:
