William Clark at Music Enthusiast Magazine recently caught up with vocalist GEOFF TATE to discuss his new QUEENSRŸCHE album, Frequency Unknown. An excerpt from the interview, which sees Tate avoiding some serious questions, is available below
Deadline Music/Cleopatra Records launched a contest on April 26 for the best video rant on “how much you hate” “Frequency Unknown”, the new album from the Geoff Tate-fronted version of QUEENSRŸCHE. The winner is being offered a free VIP trip to the June 29 show by Tate‘s QUEENSRŸCHE in Seattle along with VIP special guest seating, meet-and-greet passes for after the show and a merchandise package worth $250.
A four-minute video clip in which Geoff reacts to some of the contest submissions was released on May 10. It has now been followed by a 17-minute collection of interviews with some of the “Why I Hate Frequency Unknown” contestants, conducted by Dave Smith. Check it out below. On May 21st, Deadline Music/Cleopatra Records will release Frequency Unknown, the new album from the Geoff Tate-fronted version of QUEENSRŸCHE, on both 12-inch vinyl LP and analog cassette formats. The limited-edition 12-inch vinyl LP packaging will contain a special color poster insert. The cassette will feature the same tracklisting as the vinyl LP version.

The Todd La Torre-fronted version of QUEENSRŸCHE will release its new album, simply titled “Queensrÿche”, on June 25 via Century Media Records. The cover artwork was created by Craig Howell, who has previously worked on designs for “Star Wars”, SLIPKNOT and “American Idol”, to name a few.
