SLAYER-Inspired Curry Restaurant Opens In Japan

A SLAYER-inspired curry restaurant named Calayer had its grand opening on June 3 in Osaka, Japan.The spot, whose name ia combination of the words “Slayer” and “Curry” is currently open for lunch (11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.) and serves Indian and Pakistani food Monday through Saturday.

Kerry King Pays Tribute To Jeff Hanneman On “International SLAYER Day”

I love that a few years ago a few fans decided to mark June 6, 2006 as International Slayer Day (6/6/6 duh!) and ever since then it’s become an annual holiday to celebrate one of the most influential bands of all time.

This year seems extra special with the recent loss of founding guitarist Jeff Hanneman. To mark the occasion, Kerry King posted a touching new video tribute to his friend:

SLAYER: ‘Jeff Hanneman Memorial Celebration’ To Be Held In Los Angeles

The Jeff Hanneman Memorial Celebration will take place on Thursday, May 23 at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The event will be free and open to the public on a first-come, first-in basis (subject to venue capacity).
