Intro: At the moment, he is probably known being active with the Italian trio dark wave act, NON.
ANDREA ZANZA, who decided to release solo album aswell, album that gave me, somehow, goosebumps and I was filled with emotions. I have talked with him before about NON, and seems to be the same story, a cinematic music, full of emotions and something personal.

I was very surprised by your solo album. As told you before, you should really start making music for movies, because the sound of your music is very cinematic…!
Ok, I’m available, if any director or producer wants to offer me some work, I’m on the market!

“Dormire Sonni Tranquilli”, first, how do we translate it?
I guess the best translation could be “Sleep Peacefully”.

Tell me about the story behind this album.
Let’s say that it was an inner and personal need that pushed me to compose and publish this record, it was an idea that I had for a long time but I had to wait for the right moment to do it.

It’s a lot of, I would say, passion, feelings, something personal that you’re composing and reflecting in your music. This is what I hear in your music, emotions. Am I right?
Well, I think so. It’s an album that reflect my personality, even because i’ve composed and arrange the songs on my own, and except for the drum, the bass and the flute i’v played all the instruments and i don’t know if it’s good or not but this certainly makes it more personal.

And a mix of elements: dark wave, electronic, indie, synths, psychedelic, it’s a cocktail of elements…
Yes, and I also think folk music and italians songwriter’s typical elements. I listen to many different kind of music but the most important thing to me is that at in the end I have to make my personal kind of music.

Interview Libria

Interview with Marianna Alfieri (vocals, guitar player) about the metal band Libria.

Hi Marianna, how are you?
Hi Carla, I’m fine, thank you!

When was Libria formed?
The project Libria was formed in 2010 during the most distressing and painful period of my life. I started composing music and elaborating the concept, while I was trying to get out of that hard situation. Therefore, the gestation of Libria accompained, witnesses and helped this “rebirth”.

You have released the debut album in 2013 via WormHoleDeath records entitled ”Immortal Daughter of Aesthenics”, tell me a about it.
I composed ”Immortal Daughter Of Aesthetics” by myself; the music, arrangements, lyrics, concept, artwork. Some musicians and friends helped me recording the album: Fabio Palombi, co-producer, recorded vocals, drums (played by Massimo Marandino) and worked on the final mix in his BlackWave Studio (Genova- Italy); Elena Alice Fossi and Alessia Cavalieri recorded some additional vocals in “Dies Natalis”; Francesca Dardani recorded the whole violin scores. The album was mastered by Tommy Talamanca at Nadir Studio in Genova- Italy.

Are you going to release new stuffs soon?
After the release of ”Immortal Daughter of Aesthenics”, I experienced a strong sense of “emptyness”: I exhausted all the energies ,creativity and inspiration. I needed a new lymph to breath in  a new way, different from the past. I entered a new musical dimension, far from anything I ever listened to in my life. This artistic transition still lasts and I don’t know how and when I will release a second album for Libria. Anyway, the first album of a new project will be released very very soon… I cannot give details yet, but stay tuned, because I’m sure it is a very interesting stuff…

Interview Moreor

Interview about Moreor with Eadha (vocals), metal band from France.

Hi Eadha, how are you?
Hi Carla, I’m fine, thanks for asking ! I went running this morning. I enjoy doing exercice before any kind of music-related activity. 😉

Tell me when Moreor was founded.
Moreor was founded in 2010. It took some time to find the right direction at first but we finally have the right line-up and the sound we expected.

”From North” is the first band release, an EP. Tell me about it.
“From North’’ from Sea contains 5 tracks that are very near and dear to my heart. I was just being concerned by the loss of a loved one (my grandmother) when we recorded it. The more I listen to the EP, the more I feel in the music the depth, the sadness and the revolt… Emotion is the most important thing in music according to me…
