Music Review: NightBitch

Occult rituals, sleazy lyrics and dirty rock and roll. That’s what you get with NightBitch’s 3 song EP ‘Chainmaker’. Again, I have fallen into a band that seems to be channeling the sounds from the 70’s and the occult mysticism from the 60’s and the 70’s.
‘Chainmaker’ contains two original songs, ‘Chainmaker’ and ‘Disrober’ and one cover song ‘Into the Fire’ by Deep Purple. The two original songs are very classic rock and doom sounding, with lyrics talking about obeying your ‘Master’ or being enslaved by your ‘Master’. Take your pick. They are also very well done and catchy songs, if you don’t mind the occult theme which some people might.
Vocal wise, if you are a Glenn Danzig fan then you will love the singing you will find here. Singer Chris Taylor does a excellent job here really helping to drive the songs home and make you feel you are listening to some evil priest.
The band is currently looking for a label to release a full length album which I hope they can find. The ‘Chainmaker’ EP is an excellent little taste of the evil beast I hope will be released in full force in the near future.
