CONCERT REVIEW: Steve n’ Seagulls; The High Watt; Nashville, Tennessee September 26th, 2015

When I found out a country quintet from Finland that covers metal songs with bluegrass instrumentation was coming to Nashville, I knew I had to go.
I didn’t know quite what to expect from this unique band, with the humorous name Steve ’n’ Seagulls and members sporting overalls and fur hats… but they ended up blowing me away.  I had seen their music videos before, so I knew they were talented, but seeing them in person was spectacular.  For those of you who have not heard of them, Steve ’n’ Seagulls is a group of five guys who met in Jyväskylä, Finland and began playing music together just a couple of years ago.                 Several months ago I was in a store and a cashier asked me if I had heard of AC/DC.  I said, ‘Of course I have heard of AC/DC!!!’   How dare someone question such a thing of me!  But she said…’No no!  Not AC/DC!  HAYSEED DIXIE. They play cover songs of metal, hard rock tunes but with bluegrass/country music styled playing.’ Continue reading Concert Review-Hayseed Dixie:When Nashville, Tennessee Invaded Finland and Went Metal
