AMARANTHE Hit The Charts In The US

Swedish/Danish modern metal sextet AMARANTHE’s new album The Nexus landed at #12 on the US Soundscan Heatseeker chart. Additionally, the album landed on the iTunes metal chart at #1, #36 on the Current Hard Music Albums Core Stores chart, and #61 on the Hard Music Albums chart.

KROKUS Crack German Top 20 With Dirty Dynamite

KROKUS have announced that their new album, Dirty Dynamite (out via Sony Music as a digital download, regular CD and limited edition double vinyl), has landed at #17 on the Official Media Control Album Charts in Germany in the first week of release.

Germany is the third largest music market after the US and Japan these days. It is the first time in Krokus’ history that the band charts in the Top 20 of the German charts.

Says the band, “We thank you for all your support!”

SHADOWS FALL: New Video Interview With BRIAN FAIR

RichardThinks.Org conducted an interview with vocalist Brian Fair of Massachusetts metallers SHADOWS FALL on February 14 at Empire in Springfield, Virginia. You can now watch the chat below.

SHADOWS FALL tapped Willis Mathiasen of 2CENTS to sit behind the drums for some of their shows at the end of 2012 while the band’s regular drummer, Jason Bittner, received treatment for acute pancreatitis. Bittner rejoined his bandmates on stage on December 19, 2012 at Pearl St. in Northampton, Massachusetts.

SHADOWS FALL is touring in support of its new album, “Fire From The Sky”, which sold around 10,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 38 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD was released on May 15, 2012 via Razor & Tie.

Recorded at Zing Studios in late 2011, “Fire From The Sky” reunites SHADOWS FALL with longtime friend, producer/engineer and KILLSWITCH ENGAGE/TIMES OF GRACE guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz (THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA, ALL THAT REMAINS). The album was mixed by Brian Virtue and features some of the band’s most complex and melodic material in years.
