ACCEPT just keeps that metal train rolling like a juggernaut that just can’t be stopped.  Since releasing ‘Blood of Nations’ back in 2010, ACCEPT have been the recipient of a revitalized career that most bands of their age could only dream of and all the younger bands would hope they could only have 1/10th of the success of.  Since their comeback album, ACCEPT has released hit album after hit album filled with classic metal riffs and great lyrical themes.  Continue reading Music Review: ACCEPT Album: The Rise of Chaos

Not since Doctor Frankenstein robbed some graveyards, stitched together some body parts and harnessed the power of lightning and raised a dead corpse back to life has a band had such an equivalence of revival in popularity and creative resurgence as ACCEPT.  Not Iron Maiden, not Judas Priest but the German Teutonic power house known as ACCEPT.  They performed this miracle by going against the advice many labels and critics wanted them to do and bring back in Udo Dirkschneider, and got a completely new singer in Mark Tornillo. NUKE - web band

I really enjoy when I find bands that normally would stay hidden from view if not for the power of the internet and/or getting promos from labels who excel in trying to showcase underground bands.  Such is the case with NUKE, whose line-up consists of various members of the local Detroit metal and punk music scene.  The band describe their sound as a mixture of VERY early Running Wild, ACCEPT, splashes of Iron Maiden and various other bands with a good heavy dose of the ugliness of Detroit City.  This could be a recipe for a big belly flop of disaster but interestingly enough…it comes out as a glorious testament of raw, ugly and pure heavy metal from one of the most heavy metal cities left in America. Certain situations are born usually when a frontman of a big classic band parts ways from his band. These kind of situations have been present in the history of heavy metal. Some can deal with it, some can’t. A similar situation has been in many cases of Accept and Udo Dirkschneider, the legendary germany vocalist, who was one of the strongest links in Accept. To me that is not a big deal anymore, because Accept has its own ways with a new vocalist and new line-up, and Udo has his great time and respect as a solo artist. But if you still want to hear a setlist full of Accept songs and classics sang by Udo, now is your time: Dirkschneider – Back To The Roots Tour, which contains a setlist just full of Accept stuff from the years 1980 – 1986. This tour is meant to be a farewell to Accept themed tour by Udo and in my opinion it was a good choice. After this tour there shouldn’t be any ”bring Udo back to Accept” requests.
