Interview: Septuagint

Interview with V, the guitar player of the Greek Black metal band, Septuagint.

By Carla Morton

Hi, how are you?
Greetings, all is fine, thanks.

When did Septuagint was formed?
Septuagint was formed in 2011 (we did start in 2006 under the banner of Declaration:Holocaust).

You have released last year an EP entitiled ”Negative Void Trinity”. tell me about it.
NVT consists of 5 tracks that explore the relation between Man, Satan and God. Narrating the path from total blindness to the complete self-liberation from the earthly shackles.

What can you tell me about the split album from this year?
Well its a conceptual release lyrically revolving around the mythical sphinx as it appeared in various cultures around the world and its powerful symbolism.

Are you going to release a new album soon?
We are in the process of recording another split release entitled “Vortex” with our Serbian brothers Ophidian coil. More news will be available along the way of the release.

What are the band’s influences?
We are all individuals with different backgrounds musically though our focus is to create our art in order to praise His Name and His Essence.

Any lyrical themes?
Our themes concern the unknown and the Great Other, an ode to the nightside and the self exploration of the inner self/god.

Are there any shows confirmed for this year?
Due to personal affairs there are little chances that we will perform anywhere due to the lack of time. Hopefully things will change and we will be back with new material too. Praised be those who drink from His blood and taste His Essence.

Thank you, cheers!
We thank you, Hail Satan!
