I’ve got to give this band credit for the band name alone. It’s a very thought provoking name and when you see it you’ve got all sorts of expectations if it’s a first time discovery like mine. Well it’s safe to say that those expectations are fairly realistic as it is a great blend of the heavy and the gentle.

I can’t recommend any song in particular as they all sound similar and no song is better than the other. I feel that this is another album that needs to be listened to in its entirety in order to fully appreciate it.

The things that I liked most about this album is the very healthy blend of interesting ideas, great sounds, well-written lyrics and an impressive vocal range. This record creates a strong sense of heavy, dark gothic and beautiful settings and an atmosphere that is almost cinematic. It’s a bit like reading the diary entries of a sorcery race.

The things that I didn’t like about the album is that I feel like it’s just lacking something, but I’m not entirely sure what it is. Listening to the first quarter I think this album is average, second quarter: this album is pretty good, third quarter: this album is great, fourth quarter: this album is great but it still lacks something. I feel it’s a well-made album but it’s nothing we haven’t already heard 100 times before.

All I can really say is that this is a great release from Portugal and it’s worth the listen if you haven’t heard it already.
